  • I Can Cross My Legs!

OK, this is a biggie for me. For the last 12 years, the only way I could cross my legs sitting is if I was practically lying on my side.

Last night I was lying on the bed reading and crossed my legs with no problem...but that's totally different distribution of my fat than it would be sitting up.

So I wondered...what if I tried to sit up? So I kept my legs crossed and gingerly maneuvered myself to a sitting position and VOILA! Legs crossed! No tension, just crossed.

As I was clasping my hands in front of my knee, hubby walked in and declared "Well don't YOU look like an ingenue!"

Isn't it awesome how these little things (to some people) can mean a lot!

And congrats to your hubby for noticing - it helps when
those around you see the changes and comment positively.

I'm going to be seeing someone next week whom I have been very close with
for years, but that I haven't seen since early July... nearly 50 pounds ago. I am
very excited to hear if she can see much difference (I tend to
both gain and lose all over, so the losses don't show up as easily on me
as they do in some folks). I notice differences, of course, but since I see
myself every day, I am not sure I have a good concept of whether there is a LOT
of difference in my appearance over the past 5 or 6 months or not.

Thinking now I need to go sit in my office chair and see if I can cross my legs - haven't sat that way in so long, I don't recall even attempting it in a while.
If I have, I don't remember it, but now I gotta know, LOL!

Grats! That's fantastic how one day you realize you can do something like that, when you couldn't do it before.

When I was at my maximum weight, it was a struggle to clip my toenails...there was too much belly in the way. I was pretty happy when I realized I could clip them again-with ease. I still have quite a few more pounds to lose, but it's so motivating when things turn in a positive direction.

                Keep up the great work!

                  Far out.. that's awesome!!!

My daughter likes to sing this "sexy momma" song she made up when she notices more weight loss. It's pretty funny, but oh it's nice to have my family notice progress. Your DH sounds like a lovey. Congrats!!!
