        Re: xmas lunch

Just realized I have a little fear about Christmas dinner, and it's coming out angry. Isn't it too early in the morning to be ticked off already???

Ok for lunch so far... I'm roasting a turkey because I was too sick to roast the turkey myself Thanksgiving and wound up with MIL turkey which was very nice of her to take over the kitchen BUT I DIDN'T GET MY TURKEY SKIN! I'm glad she cooked and glad we got to eat, but I want my turkey skin this year, yep yep. Oh and a spiral cut ham for those who requested it, but this year I will ditch the honey glaze packet. Got a cabbage for slaw, some kale (haven't tried kale yet), yellow squash and zucchini for stirfry. Got salad fixins. Need to pick up a cauliflower or two to rice up or do fauxtatoes. I got cream cheese for the cheesecake and I swear if my SIL ruins it again (ok, she rearranged the fridge, took the veggie tray out, set it on the floor, this in a house with a German shepherd dog who sheds year-round, then back in the fridge ON TOP OF THE PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE I HAD *JUST* MADE and basically topped my cake with dog hair... had to throw it out. I was so steamed I had to leave the house and take a walk.).

Anyhow I'm not sick for *this* family gathering holiday and it's my kitchen this time by golly. And another thing, they're not going to set up a freakin bar on my countertop. I'm puttin their hooch underneath in the counter and if they don't like it they can kiss my grits. They're not taking over my kitchen and ruining my lowcarb foods. They're... they're... they're...

        IT'S MY KITCHEN!!! *scream*

phew glad I got that out...

Anyhow yeah Thanksgiving was challenging in spite of my preparations. I allowed others to take over my kitchen because of illness, and I realize that nobody takes this WOE as seriously as I do in this household nor should they. Can't believe I'm still pissed about the cheesecake. LOL
