      Re: Fitday PC

Well, I just emailed Fitday with a question. Since I use the online "free" version, I asked if I can transfer all my info to the downloaded PC version, or would I have to start all over again. We'll see what the answer is, when I get it Happy New Year folks!

So, I'm having problems already, and I've sent off another email. Apparently I have to have a Fitday Premium account in order to sync the info from the online version to my PC version. We'll see what the answer is from Fitday. I hope I'm just doing something wrong

I can't imagine what is going wrong... I did Not have the premium version and it synced. When I went through the download process, it gave me a selection option to sync it. I said yes, and viola, it was done.
I'll be interested to see what happened.

I followed all the steps to transfer the info. I even copied and pasted the directions into a word document so I wouldn't lose them. Does it transfer all your custom foods, past activities, etc.? Perhaps I'm looking for the old information in the wrong place? I received an answer from them, but they just told me the steps to follow which I'd already done Where would you click to find past foods?

In the food log, on the bottom left is a calendar. I just click on the date I want to look at, and there it is.... Mine was synced right into the same info I use every day, not into a separate category.

                    Re: Fitday PC

Good Morning! Kntrylady I feel like I've been gone forever! My computer has been off line for a week due to renovations. I tell you, if I ever had the money to build a house, I'd put every room on it's own circuit! We have 5 rooms out of commission with 2 switches "off" on the panel, geez! We had to move the computer so we could use it, which we did yesterday. (Yay!)
Concerning Fitday, I tried clicking on that calendar as you suggested.....OMG!!!! I decided to reread the email from Fitday! I am such a dunce sometimes! I ran through the steps in the email, and realized on step 3, there is a "button" to click on. There are also 3 lines of text. Something like "Connecting with Fitday PC", Downloading History, Done......I thought the first time I tried it, it had already been done....not realizing I had to click on the "button". I've opened a new Fitday account on the computer, clicked the button, and voila! It's all there! Good grief! I must have had blinders on or I was tired or something! Now I can see everything in the history.

Thanks so much for your patience Kntrylady I really need to READ my screens, eh? Now I just need to punch in all my tracking for the last week, here on and in Fitday. I have sticky notes all over my fridge with food on them and stars on my calendar from exercise I've done. Can't do it now tho'. I have to walk the dog. Thanks again and I'll see you on the boards.

Does anyone know if the PC version works on a Vista operating system? I've had problems with other programs because they weren't compatible.

If you have a 64 bit vista there may be times when you have to download some fix to make 32 bit stuff work (I have one too) but I do not use PC fitday so I have no idea about it.

I hate Vista! I run FitDay PC on both my XP desktop and my Vista laptop. I ran the old version and now run the new version on both with no problems. HTH

                            Re: Fitday PC

I googled FitDay discount, went to FitDay from there and checked the system requirements and it works with Vista, so I downloaded it and it works just fine. I love being able to work with it and am now really motivated to lose some more weight!

It figured out for me how much I should eat everyday to lose what I want to lose by the time I chose to lose it by. I love that! And I love seeing my percentages again because I had stopped using the online version so I haven't really been paying much attention to them. Now I am.

I would recommend this download to everyone.

Nyna, don't forget to add the Carbs - Fiber column for net carbs to your food log. That column isn't in the default setup. It's very helpful.
