  • Down 31 in 27 days!

Thanks for all the support, this is really amazing.

I feel much better, my hands no longer swell in the morning, I don't snack anymore, I workout only about 3-4 times a week.

I would have never thought that carbs were bad, I would always cut fats, on my other diets.

Well, EB, that's certainly your choice.

I don't agree with it ... and I've very seldom seen Atkins "work" long term for anyone who stays on Induction that long.

Why do you think that moving to OWL is a bad idea?

Well done, and let me second the recommendation to go to OWL. OWL does stand for "ongoing weight loss" y'know...

                  Yay for you, that's awesome!!

I think you should consider moving to OWL also.

I was one of those who stayed on extended inductin WAY to long... granted I lost a lot of weight but I've leared the hard way that I was only hurting myself.
OWL is great because you still lose weight but you learn what foods you can tolerate and find how many carbs your body can handle without gaining - this is critical to keep the weight off!!

Besides, being restricted to the induction menu grows old pretty quickly...
                  trust me! LOL

Anyway, what ever you choose, good luck!

I don't think it is a bad idea, I was raised off of meat, and multi-vits, so this has been a breeze so far, I just want to lose a more, a little faster.

I have not lost as much in the gut as I had hoped (inch wise), everywhere else, I have lost a bunch of inches, my tight jeans are now loose, the only place I have gained inches are the arms went from 16 to 18 pretty solid.

                        thanks everyone.

Re: Down 31 in 27 days!

i stay induction freindly or sometimes rung 1 about 80% of my days and iv been on the diet for about 5-6 years now

iv tried the rungs but sadly with my IBS its extremely hard for me to find any new foods that don't cause me problems

the medium vegetables like spagetti squash are too carby and to much fiber for me

found out im allergic to milk , cream can't eat any sour cream but most cheese sits well with me

can't eat nuts or seeds to high fiber upsets my gut

berries are good but in the past if i ate them they would stall my weight loss but i don't believe thats a problem anymore but i eat them about once or twice a week or so

                          don't drink alcohal

beans confuse and don't sit well with me i think i may gain a little when i eat to many

                          fruit is ok sometimes

potatos and starch are horrible on me

grains make me gain weight but i can handle natural oats once in a blue moon

so after my rung tests soo far what i got out of it was

berries once or twice a week i like
fruit once a week i like

then rest all induction food xD

the next new foods i want to try are more organic animal organs and organic animal fat and such iv already had some lamb bone marrow its great animal based food like that always sits well with me

oh ya i still have yet to find a multi-vitamin that sits well with me =/

Losing weight fast can be a good exercise in frustration. However, it is rarely the best strategy for long term success.

I have not lost as much in the gut as I had hoped (inch wise), everywhere else, I have lost a bunch of inches
Scheduling our weight loss and "hoping" to lose X inches from whatever spot often leads to apprehension about moving forward. But staying longer in Induction does not guarantee faster weight loss. In fact, moving to OWL and adding more vegetables often speeds up weight loss.

That's not a very well rounded diet. Nor are multi-vits a substitute for real food.
