Kind of an oddball question...
Say for example that my body needs 2000 calories per day. I eat 1500, which leaves a deficit of 500. To make up for that deficit, my body turns to its storage reserves.... so are those full 500 calories ALL fat calories since we are fully in ketosis?
...And if I exercise for 30min and create an additional deficit of 300 calories, are all of THOSE fat calories being burned as well?
It seems that if we are in ketosis, that's what happens - but I just want to clarify. It seems almost too good to be true!
I know that when you eat a normal diet with carbs, some calories burned from the body are fat molecules and some are glycogen stores...so it may turn out that only a certain percentage of that deficit burns fat calories (ie 40% fat, 60% carb reserves). But if we have exhausted our glycogen stores - all that's left are fat calories to burn, correct? So in that case 100% of our daily calorie deficit turns out to be fat calories burned? I hope that's true!!
