As I've been working through Induction and the first couple rungs of OWL, I've noticed that there are a couple things that just absolutely KILL my stomach. I'm talking near-debilitating stomach pain and cramps, and increased (sorry) gas, but more in the form of burping than anything else. It usually comes on within an hour of eating these foods, sometimes less. No real bowel issues like diarrhea or an urgent need to go, or any anaphylactic (spelling?) symptoms like hives, difficulty breathing, etc. It just HURTS! Other info: I drink 100 oz. of water a day, haven't cheated in months, exercise, and don't have constipation issues.
Examples: I could never do the Muffin-in-a-minute, because my first one left me in agony. Sugar snap peas, if I eat more than a few at once, do the same thing. Jicama was okay during induction, but adding a bit more during OWL put me in a world of hurt. And I just moved to OWL run 3 this weekend...and the first macadamia nuts to hit my stomach were a disaster. And I was on a long car trip when the pain started...no fun!
Has anybody else had these issues? I won't be heartbroken if I can never eat any of these things, but I'm wondering if this is something that might improve over time. Right now, I just want to completely avoid these foods for fear of having the same reaction.
Thank you for any insight you may be able to provide
