  • Which is better?

So, I'm on day 5 of Induction and my headaches/fluish symptoms are finally starting to subside. I swear, my body has taken forever to get into Ketosis - I've been so tired and headachy that I've just been sleeping and laying on the couch and burning very little calories! The first time I did Induction, I had no problems acclimating at all - so I don't know why it's so different this time...?

So anyway, now I'm wondering: is it a good idea to start the exercise regimen, or should I wait until after 2 weeks have passed in order to let my body get used to this new WOE a little more?

I started day 1. I don't see any reason that you can't start as soon as you are feeling a little better.

      Hi and Welcome-

Get up and get moving! Even if you aren't up to doing a lot, try 3 ten minute walks, or dance to a song if you are watching TV, and there is a music segment. Do some leg raises at your desk, or if you are sitting watching television. Get some weights to lift. Anything is better than nothing. And you will feel better after wards.

        Re: Which is better?

I too had the worst induction flu ever. I have been through induction more than 10 times because I am a slow learner, and this was by far the worst. I attribute it to the fact that I was closer to 0 carbs than 20 for my first week, a mistake I have since fixed. I am feeling much better. Exercise is important, but overtraining is also bad. Do what you can based on what your body tells you. If it's only a short walk, so be it. If it's a P90X session, you are my idol. Just do something. Also, check your calorie intake on fitday. You might be under eating.

Sometimes it is for no apparent reason. And talking about your "first time"... don't compare your results now with your results then. There's no benefit in doing that.

What's important is that the end result is different and you succeed in making Atkins a lifestyle this time.
