Yeah those calories do count... hate that. Used to think I could overeat on the "legal" foods and only count carbs. Nope. If I eat a cow I'm gonna look like one.

    Welcome back.

      Re: back to it now

You have the right attitude about getting right back into your routine. You are motivated and positive and that makes all the difference.

Is there anything you can do if you can't get to the gym? I am sure it wouldn't be the same but might be better than nothing. Just a thought.

I also thought I might lose weight over the holidays and thought that at the very least, I would maintain. Ah well, it is over and done with and I recovered ok.

Good luck! I am sure you will be back on schedule in no time.

        Re: back to it now

Good to hear you are able to get back to the gym now, Jake I had a similar problem here but not due to the weather The gym I have been a member of for about 3 years was bought out by the local council whose 'Holiday hours' consisted on closing at 7 pm during the week AND being CLOSED Fri to Mon for Xmas AND New Year, effectively for me being closed for the whole 2 weeks (as I can get there only in the evenings)

I did try to do something at home most days, and ended up doing most of my local shopping on foot instead of using the car just to get some walking in and keep up with my 6WEC commitments
Have you been snowed in? We have only had a little fall of snow a couple of days which was cleared from all the main roads, so we have been able to get around easily.

I am sure you will shift those extra pounds soon and be back to being a loser
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

          Re: back to it now

          Hi Jake, and welcome back.

Do you have any weights at home? How about some ab work when you can't get to the gym?

But good for you getting back ASAP! Those few pounds you gained will disappear soon!
