    Re: Am I in Ketosis?

    >>I didn't look at the sasuage ingredients,>>

    Lesson learned!

You should read the list of ingredients of everything you buy!

    That way, there's no surprises.

      >>what do I do when I NEED chocolate?>>

You don't ever need it ... you want it.

You'll never get over the want if you keep feeding your chocolate dragon.

        Re: Am I in Ketosis?

        Good Morning!
I lost another pound! Yes!!!!! Question, I'm a pretty experienced dieter so I understand how to read the nutrition facts on food labels however some of you mentioned 'fillers' that I should be looking for in the ingredients list. What are some of the common ones to look for though? Some of the ingredients are a foreign language, for sure!

UK sausages contain fillers like breadcrumbs or rusk (a form of wheat) - in fact some have less than 40% meat and bulk them up with fillers (Another thing to watch for is the claim 100% beef in a product does not mean it only contains beef, just that 100% of the meat in it has come from some part of a cow/steer!! )
Other things to look for on ingredients lists are the many forms of sugar - sucrose, dextrose, fructose, glucose, corn syrup, HFCS, molasses, treacle, etc, etc! Sometimes a product might have several forms of sugar, allowing them to list them lower down the label than if it was all one type of sugar!!

Basically you need to make sure all the ingredients are allowed for the phase of Atkins you are at.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Congrats on that pound. My rule of thumb when looking at an ingredient list is if I don't know what it is it ain't going in my mouth. LOL
