  • Body Fat

I was watching a programme on television the other night about a young teenaged boy who was having his stomach stapled. It was unbelievable to see all the big lumps of yellow fat that surrounded his organs.

When I saw that it made me realise just what my own insides must look like and how when we talk of using fat for energy and storing fat just what is really meant.

This young man went on to lose a lot of weight but it was a difficult journey for him and his family. Before the operation he was drinking milk shakes until he had lost a certain amount of weight and after the operation he was drinking soups and eating mush for quite a while.

This programme certainly made me appreciate what this woe can do naturally and it doesn't cost the enormous amount of money that this nasty operation costs.

    Re: Body Fat

Yea - I shudder to think what my body looks like on the insides...I'm sure my lungs are just being squeezed super tight by all the fat. Can you imagine what you would feel like if just instantly all the excess fat in your body suddenly disappeared? I can kind of imagine how it would feel after having my daughter yanked out of my stomach almost two years ago. It was like I could finally breathe again. I didn't realize how hard I was trying to breathe until they pulled her out. Suddenly there was more room and the feeling was just this huge weight being lifted off of me that I never knew was there. I can imagine that this weight loss is like that - but way slower for obvious reasons.

        Thanks! I'm trying

WetBanana...well, it sounded naughtier then slip 'n slide lol. That's what we call those in Canada. You know those long yellow mats with water sprinkling on them that you run and slide on?
