Came across this today. It's common sense but now there's some research behind the idea that sitting for too long causes weight and health problems. It's a good reason to make sure that you are getting up once an hour and moving around. I was especially interested in the part where your daily trip to the gym may be essentially cancelled out by the 8 hours sitting at a desk job. Getting up and moving around every hour might be just the thing to stop a stall or help retrain a body to be more of a fat burning machine. Worth a shot! p.s. the two articles are essentially the same but are both short and worth reading...the Tehran Times articles talks a little more about enzymes involved...
