  • cravings-HELP!

    Hi All,

    Im back on induction again (after being ill and coming off atkins totally)...im taking L-Glutamine powder before meals and taking the chromium as suggested by the late dr.atkins in his book, and in the day im fine and full, by evening im not getting alot of craving but as i open the family fridge and see some tasty carbs (pizza, etc) i feel tempted and well have broken the committment..what can i do im confused, please help!

    Can you get in some 'legal' yummy food that you like as much as you do pizza to choose instead?
    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
    Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

    F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

      thank you for replying Elizellen, since i havent done this in the past 6months (due to being ill) and im back on induction ive forgotten what to do (i know its silly) please can you give me some ideas/suggestions? (as many as possible please). I dont eat pork or beef though

        Anything on the list of allowed foods!!

        Make sure you re-read that part of your DANDR or print out a copy of the foods list from our FAQ section. There is a link to it from one of the threads at the top of the 14-day induction forum.

        Boiled eggs are good to have pre-made and ready
        Cold leftovers of meat and veggies
        Chicken legs can be bought ready cooked
        I like a mix of chopped celery and mayo with maybe some bits of chopped chicken or cheese in it as a quickly prepared snack

          boiled eggs you said pre-made, what boil and keep in the fridge? really wont that be smelly and how long can you keep these for?

          you mentioned mayo, you mean hellman's is ok?
