  • induction veg & reading labels-in the UK

Hi all im confused still how to read the labels in the UK to work out how much net carbs im eating or is present in a product from the supermarket can you all help?

also someone that has done atkins told me that vegetables really have zero net carbs if even 1 is that true?

what im doing is having 4-6meals a day, and eat a protein with some steams broccoli, or cauliflower, or a salad and to be honest even then its only around a handful of either, i dont seem to be able to take more, the protein itself seems alot (like a full chicken's breast for example) and i am on induction so is this all ok too?

The carbs on your labels are already net carbs.

    Fiber is listed separately.

    This post has some examples:

I've told you before... you need to read the book!

No, not all vegetables have 0-1 net carbs.

To track your foods, you can use FitDay.

FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal

Or you can search foods in the USDA database:

In the USDA database and FitDay, the carbs are total carbs... so to find net carbs, you need to deduct dietary fiber from carbohydrate.

Are you eating enough fat? Approximately 65% of your calories should come from it. Overeating protein can interfere with fat burning.

    Are you tracking your foods?

    Counting your net carbs?

Are over half of your net carbs coming from vegetables?

How much water are you drinking?
