  • need help on finding workout videos

I've just started with my low carb diet. I was just wondering if what home workout routine would be best paired with this kind of diet and where can I get them. Are there any available exercise videos suitable for this diet?

You can do any type of exercise routine you want to -- depending on what type you like to do. I have several video's that I use depending on my mood - I also walk/run on the treadmill, stationary bike and life weights also.

    Good luck.

So what exercise to you think you like? Anything goes with the diet. I find it fun to combine some cardio, flexibility and strength. Either in a workout with circuit or in different workouts. I have a few too and I borrow some from teh library to try out quite often.

If you’re the type who surfs the Internet, chances are you could easily find exercise videos that way. One that I came through while I was browsing was Workouts on Demand's. You can try and see if this solution works for you.

And remember if you’re a beginner don’t over exert yourself to prevent injuries. Let your breathing be your guide. If you’re out of breath, you’re over doing it. Results may take a while, but you’re working out not having surgery, okay?

Good luck on finding the right stuff that suits you.

I personally like Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. It's only 20 minutes, but it really kicks your butt - and you don't have to be super athletic or anything to start it!

But like the PP's have said - any kind of exercise is fine! The important thing is that you have something that you can stick with.

Or, get a few different videos and rotate them so you don't get bored!

I'm a big fan of Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds DVDs. They get you started, and they range from 1 mile to 4 or 5. They combine weights as well and really give you a good work out!

That being said, nothing beats going to the gym and using the weights there, if you're able to

I also like Exercise, Fitness, and How to Lose Weight - ExerciseTV for free online workout videos. The Beach Body workout on there had me bedridden for days lol. (Not quite, but still one **** of a workout!)

Any exercise is great as long as it gets ya movin'!

Ever thought about those gadgets that have the electric impulses that ZAP the muscles into contracting so you can sit on yer butt and watch tv, drink beer and do crunches at the same time???

Anyhow if you're wanting to save a little $$$ check out the exercise videos on SparkPeople or on YouTube. One of my first and best purchases of exercise equipment was a balance ball. Mine came with a nifty video that helped me get started. Later I bought dumbbells. Then bigger dumbbells. Eventually joined a gym. Six months later I actually went to the gym and exercised. ROFL
