  • Feeling Lightheaded, very random!

    Hi guys

    Im totally enjoying this woe, and cannot believe how food just doesnt seem to the be the big and main factor of my every waking day!!
    Im amazed that I have no cravings, have managed to make 2 birthday cakes for my daughter this weeek, and havent even had a dab of mixture, cake or sugar cream!!

    Just finished wk 3, have lost 16lbs total - ive increased veg amount, but thats all at mo... drinking 4L of water daily and doing 45 mins of cardio 3-4 times per week... but....

    this week I have noticed that at total random times I suddenly feel light headed, like a blood rush - yesterday evening it happened 3 times in the course of the eve, the worse one last a minute or so (as I stood up) and I felt like my head had gone heavy, legs weak etc..
    The funny thing is that I would totally understand this if I wasnt eating and felt hungry with low sugar level and all that.. but since this woe i havent felt that low sugar level feeling at all, yes i do get hungry, but when i have a snack (boiled egg, cream cheese & ham or something) it staibilises....

    any ideas???

    So is it like anemia?

      Does it only happen when you got from sitting to standing? if so then I say it is your blood pressure which could be low electrolytes like potassium. that can cause a drop in blood pressure.

      Also how much of your total needed to lose pounds is that 16 pounds? losing too rapidly can cause blood pressure issues too.

      Have you discussed this with your doc?

          are you tracking your foods in something like fitday to be sure you are getting the vits and minerals you need each day from your limited insuction food choices?

            The strong ones are mainly sitting to standing.. but I do get it sometimes throughout the day at random times, but they are not as strong and dont effect me like the strong ones...
            I used to get this quite often in my 20's as I had a heart murmor, but its closed and I havent had symptons like this since then, im 35 now and I dont think its to do with that, feels like a coincidence that its getting stronger now im on this woe.....??
            Havent spoken to Doc, thought Id run it by u guys to see if anyone else has had similar, if its a normal thing for early weeks of woe, body adjusting etc..??

              If im honest no.... I havent been using fitday, im otherwise feeling on top of the world! full of energy and healthy, I love my veggies and drink plenty of water!
              I will give it a go on fitday... thanks for advice xxxx

                I get anemic - and that is how it feels like for me. But most people would not get anemic on Atkins.

                Take a multivit/mineral every day and if it continues have it checked out.
                See if anything strikes you on fitday when you list your things.
