  • Problem with eating....

So, I know that I am supposed to eat 3 small meals a day and preferably a snack or two, but, I'm just not hungry sometimes. I'll eat breakfast and won't be really hungry again until around dinner time? I may have a small snack in between there somewhere, but no real appetite for an actual meal. I know that if you do not consume enough calories it could possibly prohibit weight loss? Anyone else experience this and if so, what do you do? Any suggestions from anyone?

Appetite suppressant is a natural side effect of ketosis ... it does stop, fortunately!

The best thing to do is to eat through this ... even if you have to graze throughout the day ... and even if you have to eat when you're not hungry.

Skipping a meal is counter-productive ... it doesn't take long to put your body in famine mode ... and the losing stops.

When this happened to me, I simply ate by the clock!

I usually eat every 4 hours, sometimes a meal and sometimes just a small snack like a piece of pepperoni or an oz. of cheese. It's best not to let yourself get too hungry because that sets you up for a binge and we don't want that, huh?

Thanks for the replies you guys! I am going to try the every 4 hours method although the eating by the clock sounds good too. It's just SO difficult to eat when you are NOT hungry and already feel full! I drink over 96oz of water a day and couple that with eating and I'm just NOT hungry at all (which is a good thing, but can be bad as well).....
Ok, so as long as it is SOMETHING, it doesn't matter, right? For instance, it can be just a small ounce of cheese and not a big meal? That helps a lot!

        Thanks again!

Dr Atkins says if you are not hungry don't eat a meal. if it has been 6 hours since your last meal you are suppose to eat a small snack with some protein fat and veggies. It is very natural to not be hungry some days and very hungry others so listen to your body and feed your hunger and you will be on your way to being the smaller healtheir you that you are working on.
