  • Hi Everyone! 4 pounds two days! :)

    I am new to this site so please welcome me! I need the support to keep me going. I know this diet works because my first go round, i lost about 20 pounds in 14 days. This is about my 4th attempt on the diet after falling off a few times and I was all the way down to 177 at one point and ballooned to 256! I ran into a problem which helped me be down like this but I am better and now ready to attack the problem. I started Monday at 256 pounds and im now 252 pounds this morning (Tuesday). Its 230pm in Philly now so hopefully i lost some more water weight or whatever tomorrow lol. I don't care... its all weight. I want to get it off. Ive been stressed about it and ashamed. Can you all tell me how much success you've had within the first 14 days of your journey? i love to hear the results to push me forward. be honest please. and much love!

    I only lost something like 8 pounds in the 14-day Induction, but I did Extended Induction for 2-3 months and have now been progressing up the OWL Rungs, and I finally hit a 50-pound loss. I'm still working very hard, but it takes a lot of work, and I'm doing things slowly and thoroughly so I won't gain it all back. Don't worry about what will happen in 14 days, if you can avoid it. Think about how *eventually* you will get to your goal.

      Ive noticed it to be true that females tend to lose slower than men. You have done a greaaaaaaaaaaaaaat job and im happy for you. The key to melting the pounds for me was dancing and sweating! I loss at least a pound a day and sometimes 1.5 pounds per day. You are an inspiration though. please keep it up. Everyone deserves to be happy and Healthy

        congrats on your great start. Since you know what you did wrong before be ready to avoid those pot holes.

        I know for me being cheat free was important so I was a by the book inducttee and OWLer working my way towards goal.

        what are you doing for the mandatory exercise part of your atkins? come join the ADBB PRESIDENTS challenge in the exercise challenge board for some fun and nudging long the way to keep doing your workouts.

          Hi and thanks for the reply and congrats. I have been going going through some other issues and cant work out as much as I want to. Personal problem: so I try to break a sweat and walk around while at work as much as I can. But I am doing something right if I shed 4 pounds in two days. I will update everyday how much ive lost and what i've done. thanks so much

              Much love back atcha!

              First thing I did when I came to ADBB was look at stats. I found the people who had been on Atkins long enough to have lost their excess weight and kept it off. I wanted to be sure that the advice I was reading was coming from someone who had the experience to back it.

              Second thing was to post frequently and start a journal. When I post to the boards to support others I strengthen my resolve. When I post to a journal I really get to know myself, my limitations, my strengths.

              Congratulations on four pounds lost forever. It's a wonderful journey, and I pray you stay the course. You are worth it!

                    Yes it was a type wow sorry lol.

                    I always lose fast on this diet though. I just walk around at the job from time to time (no working out). I don't have a true appetite after 6pm and sometimes I don't go to bed until around 2am.. if im hungry, i will eat some cheese and a spoon of real mayo. that fat/water or whatever weight it is, comes off over night.

                      I think she's commenting that your post says you lost 102.5 pounds in one day, and that you should have Wednesday at 249.8 instead of 149.8 .

                        102.5 pounds in one day is fast.

                        As you know, Dr. Atkins thought losing more than a pound a day wasn't safe.
