    antibiotics ? question

    hello i am on day eight and doing well.

    i have been to the doctors today and have been given antibiotics (doxycycline) for a nasty chest infection.
    does anyone know if these will affect this diet ?

    Well, some people report they have a bounce up in weight while on antibiotics. However, it's only water retention.

    It's more important to get rid of the nasty chest infection than it is to worry about how the medicine will "affect this diet".

    If you're doing Atkins as a lifestyle change (and I know you are!), then this is just a blip in your lifetime journey.

      Hope you feel better Lisa. Drink plenty of water to go with those antibiotics and of course make some of grandma penicillian - chicken soup and you'll feel better in no time.

        I was just on antibiotics for 10 days for strep throat. Didn't seem to affect me
        Re re starting this time for good with the support of my husband. He is doing this with me.

        Feb 25th 221.6
