  • Dukes mayo

Hello!! I have been looking for a good no carb mayo, I have heard of Dukes, and went to the site and checked it out, ugh the first ingredient was soybean oil, isn't that a no no on induction? I love chicken salad and egg salad and such and was getting excited!! What are your thoughts?

Oil is still oil, I use canola oil, corn oil and peanut oil, cause its oil. I wouldn't worry about it at all. I use a cheapy called Special Value Mayo and it doesn't have any sugar at all, and made with soybean oil. Its an induction staple. Best Foods is also made with soybean oil but has a minute bit of sugar. I would use it also if I had it.

Duke's is the only mayo I use and I haven't had any issues with eating it while doing Atkin's. I have managed to lose 65 lbs while eating it

if you are allergic to soy or have a thyroid issue it could be a problem but as long as the oil isn't hydrogenated it is legal ofr induction.

now their are some issues with the process differen oils are made and some folk have issues with too many Omega 6s and not enough omega3s from their oils

You should be fine with Duke's. I have some in the pantry I haven't opened yet but I will soon. I know many people who are on Atkins who use it and that's how I learned about it. I've always used Hellman's but someone promised me if I liked Hellman's, I'd love Duke's.

The ingredients in any mayo have carbs, so the mayo will have carbs, too.

The only reason why the label says zero is because the carbs are less than 0.5 g per serving.
