Is anyone planning to read this? I'm a bit curious to see what new scientific information is in there.

Re: New Atkins For A New You
I ordered it..just out of curiosity. I read the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution and it's hard to change my thinking. I don't like the "product pushing". I did like the vitamins they offered. I don't know if they will come out with new supplements now. I guess we shall see.Mom to 3 wonderful BoysBrett 20(US MARINE)

I want to read it too.
It is a company sponsored book but the scientists that are authoring it are interesting.

This is what intrigues me. I'm hopeful that there is some solid science in there and it's not just a push to sell Atkins products.Originally posted by liv View PostI want to read it too.

Re: New Atkins For A New You
I've read everything "Atkins" that has come out since 2002 DANDR, and plan on continuing to do so. While I do believe 100% in 2002 DANDR, I am always curious about what is being published in the name of Atkins.

Re: New Atkins For A New You
As they've changed the OWL rungs, I'm very curious to read the new book. I'm hopeful that it will have explanations on the "whys" of these changes.
I have so much weight to lose and I've lost quite a bit so far with DANDR. I'm waay past the Induction phase so the new OWL rungs don't apply to me now. I imagine that I will just stick with DANDR.

Re: New Atkins For A New You
Along with most of the other posters here I shall be interested in seeing how they have revamped the Atkins way of eating this time around
but shall probably stick to my established WOE.
However I might just wait till copies start to turn up on the charity shop shelves rather than paying the full retail price plus postage to UK now.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: New Atkins For A New You
I really liked Jimmy's review. I wonder if there will be any kind of media blitz when it comes out or if the bulk of the sales will be from those of us who have read DANDR.Originally posted by OzLover View PostJimmy Moore's Livin' La Vida Low Carb Blog LLVLC EXCLUSIVE: New Atkins Diet Book By Today’s Top Low-Carb Researchers Set To Release In March 2010

It does look like a book that could introduce dieters unfamiliar with LCing to Atkins but it is a shame that ANIs print ads focus on their bars/shakes. From what I read over on atkins.com, most newbies think that those products are required or at least an integral part of Atkins. Yet, their tutorials stress whole, unprocessed foods and that is then "ruined" by their suggested menus that list bars/shakes for snacks.
I look forward to discussions on this new book once it comes out.
