Puzzled here. All the different brands of olives I buy in stores (green or black) show (gross) carbs listed as 0 grams. However, Atkins book and web search shows one serving having 2.5 carbs. Who is right here?

Re: Carbs in Olives?
According to the USDA database 100 grams (3.5 ounces) of canned green olives has 3.84 total carbs including 3.3 fiber grams making it 0.54 net carbs, and for one olive weighing 2.7 grams it works out at 0.09 net carbs.
So if you are having only a few then zero is not far out! But you will need to work out the numbers according to how many you eat.
On induction as a special category food you are allowed 10-20, so 20 small olives would have about 1.8 net carbs.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Carbs in Olives?
Yes, rounding is what they always do. So, on American labels, if a food has less than 0.5 grams of carbohydrate, the label will usually show zero."Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."
