  • Still Here, Still Plugging Away....

I've been super busy with work, kids, school, pets, ect. but I'm still plugging away at this way of eating but I've got some new goals.

First on a sad note I put my beloved Chocolate Lab down yesterday and it was by far the hardest thing I've had to do.

So here it is... the losing weight thing is great but for me the additional energy is much more rewarding... well that and feeling rested in the morning. My sister in law is getting married in September and she is a troll. I'm slightly evil but I'd like to show up to her wedding at not only my thinnest but my most fit. It is my goal by September to be up to running 3 miles 4 times a week or more. I've never seen an overweight runner and the lighbulb came on that that would be a good goal to work toward. Its truly a goal because right now with all the snow on the ground it makes it hard to get out and walk right now. Soooooo I got a wii fit plus with the balance board and wii active. I'm so excited I can't wait for it to get here so I can get to work and watch my BMI go down. I also got those Sketchers Shape Ups and so far they seem to be working... My legs are definately toner and they are sore after wearing them. Notice I said legs. No knees. I like them. I'm going all out ladies and gents.

When I get my Wii fit I'll post my BMI and only keep track of that. Well that and my fitness progress.

    Have a GREAT day everyone!!!

Sorry to hear about your dog. I know it's hard ... and I also know there will always be a special place in your heart for her.

I was so sorry to hear about your dog, Shari
It is great however to hear you so excited about your planned fitness programme and your fitness goal
I have seen many adverts for those shoes and am seriously thinking of getting some for myself, so it is good to hear you are finding benefit from them already
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I am sorry about your dog. You will love the wii fit! I do it everyday. If you plan to do the running on the wii fit my advice is to run a circle around your livingroom or whatever room your wii fit is in. When I try to run in place it kills my knees but if I make a small path around my livingroom I find I have an easier time.

I have set up my wii fit to do a one hour workout and it changes the activities every few minutes and works whatever target groups I told it too. I love it because each day I can do a different routine. I also live in a very snowy part of the country and before if I couldn't get to the gym I was stuck dancing around my house and trying to find ways to move. Now I just turn on the wii fit and have a ball.

Every Sat. my whole family gets together( Dh and DS) and we all play wii fit together for a couple of hours. You haven't seen funny until you watch someone do the Hoola Hoop for the first time

I heard that the Wii Fit is easy to use. So you can program areas that you want to work on and it will do and it will switch up activities? Does it also keep track of weight like it does BMI? I have a ton of questions that I cant wait to find out for myself. The main thing is I want it to be fun. I got the Wii active too which is compatable with the board.

I picked up my dogs ashes today. it was a bit difficult but he's home now.

Yes it tracks your weight, goals, balance. It gives you tips. There is a chart that you can watch your progress. It really is very cool.

It took me a few days of playing around with it to get the hang of it. If you have any questions just ask, I will be glad to help anyway I can.
