Hey everyone-
I am new to this forum, but I think I spent 3 hours last night reading thru a lot of the post, wish I would have had more time to read all, but got pretty tired.
Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that your awesome and you have so much advise to give to others :joy . Well, here is my story. This is actually my 3rd attemp at the Atkins diet. The first time, I did really well..lost 28 pounds in a month and a half, then got recentful seeing others eating what I wanted and cheated..Fell off the wagon. The second time around I made it maybe 3 days. I know, thats horrible, but this time around, I am finally commited and I think with your help, advise, and inspiration, I am going to make it.
The Atkins is really the only diet where I have not felt hunger and wanted to eat every 5 seconds, plus you can lose weight pretty steadily. I have several reasons for starting again. I found out that I may be pre-diabetic and I constantly keep sinus infections, plus numerous small issues. The doc told me that if I can get the weight off, my health issues will go away. So, I am game...believe me, I do not want to be diabetic.
So, please keep in touch, I love reading comments...and hey, thanks for being here for me!

Make sure you have your book as we go by the book around here. Read the stickies and FAQs as you will get a lot of information from those. Think about joining some of the challenges. It can help to keep you motivated if you are accountable to someone else. Also journal everything you eat. Alot of us use fitday.com because their tool is fairly simple and free and you can get a lot of information about what you eat.
