  • Does this sound ok?

I got some Deigner Whey Protein Powder and wanted to make myself a smoothie after my workout, does this sound ok to you guys? BTW is was quite delicious Ok so I used
1/2 cup (4 ozs) Plain Greek yogurt
    3 strawberries
    1/4 cup blueberries
1 scoop of the whey powder (100 cals, 18 g protein, 2 g sugar and I think 2 grams of fat)
    3 ice cubes

I threw it all in a blender and drank it, it wasn't very sweet but since the whey powder had sugar or some type of sweetner in it, I didn't want to add more and it ended up sweet enough for me (I'm not real big on sweets).

Does this sound ok to you guys? I really had been wanting to try a smoothie and this was my first EVER! I felt pretty good after I drank it too, almost like I had a buzz! I hope it was't a sugar rush from the combo of sugar in the yogurt, berries, and powder!

    Sounds awesome.

For mine I use equal parts plain yoghurt, plain almond or soy milk, and frozen berries... spin that up with some whey powder if I've had a workout, without it if I haven't. Good stuff, Maynard.

I would likely get a sugar buzz from that. I would need a bit more fat in mine so I add some cream. You also should keep within 5 net carbs of berries and five net carb of yogurt.

I wonder instead of the whey protein powder if you could just toss in an egg or two. I love yogurt and berries together

I've been getting almond milk here in a local market... there's also light soy milk if I can't find the almond milk. Again, it's an OWL rung thing so definitely not for induction.

Hmmm I will look into the almond milk. It sounds very good I cut the portions for it today but also added in some heavy cream, this time I used
              1/4 c blueberries
              1/4 c Greek yogurt
              1/4 c heavy cream
              1 scoop powder
              3 ice cubes

Still tasted wonderful, no buzz afterwardsI think they may have been a fluke, b/c I had one yesterday similiar to the 1st one minus the strawberries and no buzz yesterday either, I believe it may have been due to the excitement of having my first smoothie Thanks for the suggestions guys! And I don't know about the egg, I do like the vanilla flavor of the protien powder lol but who knows maybe one day I will be brave enough to try the eggnog shake
