  • Splenda question

When one packet of Splenda is listed as >1g of carbs... what should I count it as? 1/2? Or do I have to round up and call it 1?

The actual count for a packet is 0.9.

At least they are listing it as having some amount of carbs!

            Re: Splenda question

I've always rounded up each "less than 1 carb" packet to 1 carb.

TheDailyPlate lists the carb count at half a carb per packet.
            FatSecret, .9 carbs.
            NutritionData: 1 carb.

Just ordered EZ-Sweetz... so excited to get it! My need for sugar is giving me a tic! ;-)

If you have really strong cravings for 'sweet' it might be a sign that you will do better by starving your sweet tooth rather than feeding it Just my opinion

When you do get it do remember that we are limited to 3 servings of any sweetener a day on our Atkins journey.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I know I'm only allowed 3 servings, but if each serving packs a punch I'll be a happy girl
I might try to kill the sweet tooth completely somewhere down the road, but I'm still a beginner and I can't quite face it yet!

Killing your sweet tooth is one of the purposes of Induction.

The sooner you do it, the better.

It's your "want" for sugar .... you don't "need" it at all.
