I have been sick the last week with a very bad cold - congestion, runny nose, and very sore throat. That has kept me from getting anywhere close to my water goals each day. I am just not thirsty and it really hurts to swallow. I am fairly certain that is what has happened because nothing else has changed. I am still working out when I can, though not as much the last few days, and my carb intake has been from 16-21 carbs every day, including my vegetables and salads as required. Pure water has only been 3-4 cups for the last few days, though.
I read where Dr. Atkins stressed water intake in his book, and now I see why. It plays a very important role.
Does that make sense? Any other thoughts?
