  • Trying to get back

    Usual story.
    Did atkins.
    Did great.
    Got busy.
Got fat (Not as fat as before, but on the way there)

My problems started when I started having blood sugar issues.
My problem this time around is that if I dont eat enough food every so often my blood sugar drops. I cant for the life of me stop this from happening even though I used to never have problems.

Breakfast is normally 2 or 3 eggs and cottage cheese (sometimes skip the cottage cheese.

I have a side salad with ranch at lunch with some sort of meat (Chicken/burger no bun)

Dinner is meat and salad and veggie.

My snacks are my main problem.

Anyways, if you guys could send me some support I would love it to help me get motivated here.

    Snack suggestions?
    Blood sugar tips?
    Easy breakfast solutions?

I cant believe I am one of the people who fell into the trap.

    Thanks in advance!

PS: I drink water all day. At least 64oz but I average 100+
    223/168/170
    Male
    Maintenance
    Started July of 2008.
Hit my original goal of 200 in 2 months.
Hit my altered goal of 180 in 4 months.
My max weight goal is 175 and Im trying to keep between 165 to 170.

So eat frequently. That's perfectly acceptable.

If you're starting over on Induction, cottage cheese isn't acceptable. I would also have some vegetables with your eggs.

Anything from the Acceptable Food list for Induction!

Eat something, especially with fat and protein, every 2-3 hours ... even a snack.

Spread your vegetables out throughout the day.

Give your body a chance to heal.

It seems as though you are not eating enough. My favorite snack for my blood sugar problems is cucumber or avocado. They both give me great energy and they are not to messy or difficult to deal with at work. Porteins do not help my blood sugar very much, nor do less substantial veggies like celery or salad. Its seems as though you may need more healthy fats in there to raise those energy levels. Try a 6 oz serving of grilled chicken mixed with a little feta cheese and olive oil. Served cold it is amazing and it really helps you maintain a good ratio of fat and protein with a touch of carbs. That is a powerhouse sanck for me when my energy dips.
