I moved up a rung last week and gained a pound, although I lost another belt loop. This time I didn't get bummed out, I just figured I'd give it a few more days to see how it goes. The scale I normally use isn't in my home, so I've only weigh myself about once a week.
Then yesterday I went to my doctor because my jaw has been bothering me and my bite is out of alignment after falling asleep on the sofa. The first thing he asked me is if I was drunk when it happened. Nope, I assured him since I haven't had any booze since New Years Eve. I add that I have also cut out caffiene, sugar and processed food. He then looks at my chart, congratulates me and says I've lost 30 Lbs since I was last in his office before Christmas.
Here's the kicker ~ He had me at 332 in early December. I remember seeing that and thought no way when I took it. Especially after I "bulked up" during the holidays and weighed in at 328 on New Years day (but on a different scale). Yesterday in his office I was at 302 after lunch with shoes on. Saturday morning in shorts, socks and a T-shirt I was at 306 (on my official weight loss scale). What a yo-yo ride. Who to believe?
Thank goodness I'm not scale crazy. I feel good, clothes are fitting better, friends are commenting on how well I look, so I'll just keep on doing what seems to be working.
But oh how I want to get under 300.
Thanks for reading.
Rant over!
