I am overwhelmed by all the stevia sweeteners out there now. I have no idea which one tastes best. I've heard that the liquid stevia tastes better and less carbs but there are also a lot of liquid stevia products out there. Anyone know which one tastes the best? I also see that there's green powder stevia and white powder stevia, what's the difference?

Re: Which stevia sweetener is best?
Frankly, I can detect a nasty, bitter aftertaste with most stevia products. The only time I cannot detect that aftertaste is when I use fresh stevia leaves or the dried leaves. 1 stevia leaf is enough to sweeten 1 pint of liquid for my tastebuds.Originally posted by maryannie View PostI am overwhelmed by all the stevia sweeteners out there now. Green stevia powder, technically, should be the dried stevia leaves that are ground to a fine powder. White powder stevia is the same thing, but the leaves hve been treated with a bleaching agent. My definitions are based upon the definitions used in organic foods booklets and catalogs----I don't know how the "industry" defines green stevia and white stevia powder.~Megs~
