LOL, Barbie, did you read the book. The reason I ask is because the good doctor explains why those pork chops are working for you.
1) Unless you are having issues losing for a long time, do not worry about counting calories. Just count carbs and make sure your getting your water, exercise an veggies in, oh and vitamins.
Eat until your satisfied, not stuffed, not still hungry, just comfortable.
And be happy, your losing weight and thats what is most important

Unfortunately, past dieting experiences for many of us cause us to be cautious when we examine how and what and how often we can eat with Atkins and still lose weight. For me, the reason I was finally able to lose weight is because I just read DANDR 2002, used Dr. Atkins's knowledge and information provided in the book and followed the plan. Yes, it seems counterintuitive to what we have learned in all of our dieting experiences but it works if you follow the plan as he states in the book.

We don't count calories but you need to keep an eye on them. If you use a food tracking program that is done for you automatically. You just want to know what the lowest and highest range would be, and keep your eye on it to make sure you are not going below or higher.
Example- Thurs and Fri , I was having a hard time schedule wise, emotional wise, and more. Long story...anyway...I had little or no appetite. When I saw my tracker totals at the end of the day, I saw my calories had not even reached 1000 calories. For my weight that is VERY LOW, in fact low for anyone!!!!!
So I made sure that I ate a little more, and made more of an effort Sat and today to be more on track.
Point I am trying to make---I do not use calorie counts to make day to day food choices.259/206/149

Why such a little bit of vegetable?
Make the vegetables the star of the meal, then you will eat fewer porkchops.
Of course, "porkchop" is relative in size ... how many ounces all told did you eat?J.

Re: Can someone explain this to me like im 3 years old please?
On the whole we don't restrict calories on Atkins to any specific number like with other diets, but try to eat as much food as our body wants without stuffing ourselves till we feel overfull.
This amount will vary over the week depending on what we are doing, so unless you find that you are consistently eating far too little food (due to the appetite-suppression effect of being in ketosis) don't worry about how much you are eating.
Maybe next time put only 2 of those chops on the plate with your vegetables and eat them, then after that if you are still huungry get out the extra one and eat that too.
But try to learn when 'enough is enough' for your body and the moment you feel you have eaten enough then stop and put any leftover food away for a future snack.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Can someone explain this to me like im 3 years old please?
The big question is, did you eat 3 pork chops because you were really that hungry. Or did you eat 3 pork chops because you could and it was more like a binge and you know you'll do again because you can.
Answer that and you'll know if it was too much or not.
