    Re: Disappointed

    >>should no nuts be used in any diet even after the 2nd week?>>

It my opinion, nuts should wait until the nut rung.

    >>Same for veggies like asparagus etc with higher carbs?>>

Asparagus is an Induction vegetable ... there's no reason not to eat it.

Are you just "dieting" ... or is Atkins a lifestyle change for you now?

Thanks for the clarification. My intention is to make this permanent. Of course a primary short-term goal is to shed a few pounds and help out with controlling my HBD. Positive results will re enforce the aim to make it a life style change.

Just a small point here to take note of.
When a manfacturer in USA says 'less than 1 gr' it means that it has between 0.5 and 0.99999999 grams

So I would take the midle of this and count 0.75 carbs per tablespoon of this creamer.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Thank you so much for that. I always appreciate such tips from experts. I also take the opportunity to congratulate you for the impressive loss the comparison int he images show!

You might even shed some light on my other question based on your own experience with the ANS: are net carbs fungible? Meaning our bodies and metabolisms are indifferent to whether we get 3 or 4 net carbs from some Atkins pre packaged food (bars, shakes, etc) or a piece of chicken? I do not mean to say we forget whole foods and just eat the specially prepared bars or shakes, but I mean an occasional sub?

              thanks so much

                  Re: Disappointed

It would depend on how it was made.

Traditional recipes should be fine but the commercially bought in stuff usually has binders & fillers like starches, grains etc so would make it unsuitable for anyone on induction or most of OWL (grains are the last level/rung of OWL.

I know in UK most have non-induction ingredients but you need to ask the outlet where you get it for sight of the label if they buy it in or ask the chef if they make it themself to be sure.

                    Hi Elizellen
Much obliged indeed. I had always assumed it was just meat & fat. However, the addition of grains and binders etc puts the good old GYRO in a whole different light.
Thanks for the advise I will probably have to ask someone at Stoupsey's (a Greek food chain here in the USA) for some hard data on their food.
                    Thanks again
