A cup is a measure of volume. It holds 8 fl oz, which is a little less than 250 mL.what weight or size is a cup?
Weighing your foods instead of using a cup won't cause you to be unsuccessful. I would suggest you choose the method that you find easier."Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

Re: Cup measures? What weight/size is it?
There is a thread called 'weight of vegetable per cup' in the Atkins Diet FAQ forum where Soliwit spent a lot of time at the USDA database website collating the info for most of the induction veggies.
I found it very useful for veggies as often it is too fiddly to put them into measuring cups.
BTW most large supermarkets as well as specialist cookery shops in my neck of the woods carry the measuring cups and spoons - assuming from your username that you are from Dublin you might be able to track them down in yours.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
