  • First BJJ/Integrated Fitness/Muay Thai class last night.

Each class was 1 hour each, consecutively. I don't think I have been as tired or sweat as much from a work out since I did a 40k march in full gear. Was exhausting. Was so much fun tho. I find that if I try working out on my own, I don't get much done. But in a group setting like this (about 12 people in the class) I found that I pushed myself a lot more.

I will be doing this 3 nights a week and going to the gym 3-4 nights a week with my brother (do about 20-30 minutes of cardio and an hour of weight training).

I'm hoping that this increases my weight loss speed as well. I lost nearly 40lbs so far and it hasn't been two months (the 8th makes two months), I'm hoping to drop at least 15 more pounds over the next 5 weeks for my 3 month anniversary.

::EDIT:: Oh, for anyone wondering. BJJ = Brazilian Ju Jitsu. It is basically wrestling/grappling. The integrated fitness we do is more or less a martial arts based aerobics session

    Good job Andrew.
BJJ is some kind of wrestling?
With exercise the most important thing is to find something you like and something you will stick with.

Ya, it's grappling. A lot of rolling on the ground and tossing people around. Can be fun until you get a knee to the groin (made the mistake of not bringing my cup, won't be doing that again Saturday).

well done ive also found that martial arts is helping with the weight loss and workouts i do karate been doing it now for 2 years and you find that in a group you push your self that litle bit more and bounce ideas for gym workouts around, especially the higher grades have ideas for workouts which i try when im at the gym
keep up the good work and the bjj
