  • Is it normal?

I started on Jan 13th, here it is the 5th of March and I have lost 10 pounds. Is this a ok pace, I lost 7 pounds during induction. Decided to do induction a little longer and lost another 3 in two weeks and nothing since. On fitday it says I am eating about 21-24 carbs. I just dont have an appetite for more food. A typical day is 2 eggs and 2 links of sausage, sometimes 3 eggs scrambled with 1 ounce feta and three sliced cherry tomatoes. Lunch is either a salad of 1 cup Romaine, 1/2 medium cucumber and a sliced tomato ( medium) and two teaspoons of ceasar dressing (1 carb kind) with 1 ounces parmesan. Dinner varies, between homemade meatballs with 1/4 cup tomato sauce ( homemade) and 1 cup broccolli or even another smaller salad, or Chicken with a 1/2 oz feta and garlic or two fish fillets with lemon pepper ( all these dinners will have veg's either 1 sliced tomato and cucumber or salad ( as I listed above) and tons of water. I also drink decaffinated coffee with 2 oz whipping cream per day. I have cut this out for a week and nothing lost. I also use liquid splenda. No soft drinks at all. Any Ideas of what I maybe doing wrong? My calories on fit day are usually between 1100-1400 a day. Thanks for any suggestions.

    How many net carbs?

You really should move to OWL.

    >>2 oz whipping cream per day>>

The limit is 2-3 Tbs., so you're over the limit.

I would try to get 10-12 times your current weight in calories.

You could be undereating ... and you could be in "famine" mode.

    What's "tons" of water, exactly?

First thing I would do is move to OWL.

For one thing you need to eat more calories. I know you don't need more volume but you can easily add more fat through butter, mayonnaise, olive oil, etc. Also many people experience a stop of weight loss several weeks in. It is called Post Induction Stall Syndrome. Although it is frustrating, the thing to do is wait it out--it can take a couple of weeks. You had a quick loss at the beginning so this may be your body's adjusting time. Many people get over a slowdown by moving on to OWL Rung One. For some reason the added veggies get things moving again.

An oz of Whipping cream is 2 tablespoons am i suppose to be doing teaspoons of cream, becasue I thought it was table but maybe I read it wrong. I am drinking 64oz to 90oz of water, never less. Net carbs is about 20-22 a day( depending on my tomato intake). I don't think I could eat 1800-1900 calories a day..I was always taught famine was under 1100 calories a day not 12-1400. Do I force myself to eat more?

My calories are varied each day depending on what I eat, sometimes 1200 some-day's 1600 ( never higher, I gain weight). I am moving and packed my book. Can someone post the netcarbs in veggies? or is there a post already here? I always cook is some sort of fat, olive oil or butter.

To what do you add the splenda? Is that one coffee or more?
I agree with the others a little more substance in there - some protein at lunch perhaps?

You can look them up in the USDA database:

Three cups of decaf coffee and I use the liquid splenda with no carbs. It doesn't make me have cravings or sugar spikes. I have hypoglycemia and I have not had an episode since I started the diet. That is the one thing I have noticed, I have NO cravings and if you knew me you would say that was a miracle, oh and I have no appetite that is another miracle. I will try to add a little chicken or tuna ( with a little mayo) with my lunches.

On fitday is whipping cream listed as whipping cream or the heavy cream? I see both.

                    I use heavy.
I think fitday says whipped cream not so sure it says whipping (I have not see it in any rate)

I was going to use the heavy to be safe, but the calories and fat of what I use are different than what they have listed for heavy but not by much, so I will just go with the heavy. I will only use an oz a day.
