  • will this mess things up?

    i've been wondering for a while. A drink contains 10.5g of Carbs per 100ml, if i drink that 100ml and make up the rest of my carb count with veg will i be totally kicked out of ketosis. Or is it fine because it would still be 20g or under. Not everyday but like once a month or something?

    It is not fine because the ingredients for that drink are not allowed during Induction and they are probably not allowed on Atkins at all.

      The amount of carbs you eat net or otherwise isn't the main picture. You need to be eating the right carbs to get to your number. If it isn't on the allowed food list then it's not allowed. Look at the ingredients. If it says Sugar..NO..if it says high fructose corn syrup. NO. If it says all those other bad names for sugar ..NO. You should get your carbs from veggies 12-15 grams a day from the allowed veggies. Have a blessed day

        No that sounds bad. You need to add quite a bit fat to that drink to be able to handle that much carbs at once.

          Not to mention that 10 carbs hitting your system via a liquid is a pretty hard hit and would probably bump your blood sugar levels up quickly--thats why a lot of fat would be necessary to counter it. Better not to have any drink with that many carbs in it. Maybe you could dilute it or only drink half. I find a little goes a long way once you have broken that sweet tooth.
