Can I eat raw turnips on induction? I am confused as one list says yes, as long as they are within the 12 - 15 NC of veggies.

    How about pork rinds?

Also why can't I have caffiene? Not even 1 cup on the am with sweetener, as long as I count it?

I am doin gok - but am beginning to think I could do better if I stopped these things.

I need advice from the "experienced" on this board.Oops...just one more - how come I cant get my weight tracker icon" to work
    Many thanks

Do you have a copy of the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002)?

The list of allowed foods we follow here is in Chapter 11.

You can get a copy here:

    >>how come I cant get my weight tracker icon" to work>>

    Did you read:

    J.

"Your life will never change until you change your choices."

welcome to ADBB and to atkins.

think of the book as the blueprint for the new you that you want to create. You need to read it and follow it so you end up with the healtheir smaller you.

turnip greens and roots are legal for induction but you can only eat a limited amount of them per DANDR 2002.

          Re: Allowed Veggies

I've never tried raw turnips before, but the idea sounds intriguing. There is a good recipe for "turnip fries" in the recipe section at the end of the book, though.

Sure you can have turnips raw or cooked.

Coffee is a choice, and some find they can't tolerate it. I found I could take coffee as long as I counted the carbs and limited the amounts. I'd throw myself over my CLL pretty quick with too much coffee. I'm the same way with cream, gotta watch that I don't go overboard.

As to the pork rinds, there's the rub for me. Sometimes I can enjoy a few or use them as "breading" or an ingredient, and sometimes I find myself sitting down with about 4 avocados worth of guacamole and a couple bags of rinds and just have myself a big ole' binge. I believe it's a matter of being true to ourselves, getting to know and accept who we are and knowing our own limitations. Try limiting or eliminating them and see how the weight loss goes.
