  • Struggling!

    Hello all.....

There is not much that you can recommend for my problem, but I was hoping to share with someone and have a good laugh. On Wednesday, I was playing basketball to get in a great workout, when I went up for a shot and someone took out my legs on purpose. I landed on my left shoulder and tore two ligaments and got two fractures in my clavicle and acromio. It is not the end of the world, as it will not require surgery or a complete cessation of exercise, but they gave me Vicodin!

The Vicodin makes me loopy and I completely forget that I am not eating carbs. The people around me have stopped me from making a mistake so far, but I don't even know that I am doing it. Then I realize that I am an Atkinser and I throw it down like I was about to eat a cockroach.

I have actually made the tough decision to switch to Tylenol only and I will endure the pain instead of screwing up my WOE/WOL.

This is me on the Vicodin

You might want to put signs on your food so you'll remember what's safe and not safe to eat when you're "loopy."

Now that's a great idea! Maybe those little "Yuck" faces they put on poison to stop kids and people on Vicodin from eating it. If I go to eat something and see those on there, I may just sit there and laugh at the funny face he makes and then forget why I am there?

      Good idea!

ouch. you don't need surgery for your torn ligaments? you are so blessed.

Those faces sound like a good idea or you could just have your meals bagged for you with your name on them and then just eat that.
