  • Fitday question...

    I have a couple of questions about fitday...

    1) Is there a place to create a recipe and then enter the recipe is say 8 servings.. ex I make my own salsa and I want to put in how much I eat, but it is so hard to guess at how many red and green peppers and tomatos that I have...

    2) If fit day doesn't do this then how do you all break down a recipe?

    It is okay if it takes me a little longer to get there, besides this is where I'm going to stay forever and that is a really long time!!!

    Amanda, this is what I do - I go to the screen for the next day, and enter all of the ingredients. Then, I write down all of the numbers for calories, fat, carbs, fiber, and protein. Then I delete those entries so I can have a clean slate for the next day. I then enter this info as a custom food. It will show as 1 serving in custom foods... if I eat 1/4 of the recipe on a particular day, I enter it as .25 servings... if I eat half of it on another day, I use .5 servings.

    For example, I have MUP (nickname for a pumpkin concoction that I eat) entered as a custom food. If I eat all of it, it is one serving. If I only eat half of it, it is .5 servings. It sure is a lot quicker to click on "MUP", than to have to enter all of the ingredients separately each time that I eat it. I've done the same thing for Muffin in a Minute.

          I used to do this before I got the pc version, but I also used to copy down all the nutrition numbers so I could copy all the vitamins and minerals numbers too.
          Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
