OK, it's the Atkins Revolution. But it's my revelation!
I have been worrying about how much protein I'm eating, because too much protein can be broken down to form glucose, but in the process of making signs to put on my fridge for my wife and me I discovered just how OFF the Induction list I have been. No wonder why I can't kick this puppy into high gear.
While trying to increase fat and moderate protein I have been eating WAY too much vegetables. While I had myself convinced that this was the right approach, I was WRONG.
OK, the three major limits to the acceptible food list are:
1. Organ meats - no more than 4 ounces a day, everything else eat
liberally (or until you are satisfied.).
2. Cheeses: No more than 4 ounces a day.
3. Vegetables: UP TO (not a minimum) 3 cups salad veggies or
2 cups salad veggies & 1 cup other.
I'm holding back on meat, eating too much cheese and eating too much veggies.
It's back to the basics and starting over.
(Yeah, I know, it sounds stupid, but I allowed myself to set a trap. I've followed Atkins, off and on, since 1982. By thinking I knew what I read, 20 or 30 times, I glazed over it again as I restated the plan, when in fact I just needed to read it right ONCE!)
Just in time to begin the rest of my LIFE!
