  • green tea

Hi, I've just cut out coffee in an attempt to see if that's making me plateau. Is green tea OK if you have 2 cups a day?

    Re: green tea

You should be able to find decaf green tea.

As for your plateau... if you post a menu, we could take a look. Don't forget to include quantities and net carbs for all foods and drinks.

For how long did your weight loss stall?

    Are you losing inches?

ah bugger! I was hoping green tea would be ok. Weight loss has stalled for a few weeks. I was losing inches but slowly. I'll just make a concerted effort this week to do it right and then if that doesn't work, I'll post my menu to see what advice ppl have

Were those inches disappearing while your scales stayed stubborn? If so you have not be stalling as Dr Atkins thought of a stall as being 4 weeks with no inches OR pounds lost.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

          Who said it wasn't?

Georgiana only said that you can find decaf green tea.

If you think the caffeine is making you "stall", then you would need to eliminate caffeine.

That would include the caffeine in green tea.

ok then maybe I'm not totally stalled yet. I just want better results. I'll do 14 days more Induction with my new rules and see how I go. But after that I'm moving to OWL- maybe that will suit me better!

Your body will lose at the rate it wants.

              What "new rules" are those?

Watching my calories also, restricted to about 1400. Cutting out coffee. Cutting out alcohol (I was cheating with alcohol). I've discovered that you should do a fat/protein/carb ratio of 65/30/5 so I am now doing that also with the help of fitdayPC

How much weight in total are you looking to lose, Gemma? If no more than about 30 pounds or so it might be better to move to OWL now.

Definitely time for OWL once you have got comfortable with what are the 'correct' induction rules.
