  • Newbie in need of motivation (exercise)

    Hello, I'm pretty new here, and I really love how Atkins is working. My only problem is I am having a really hard time getting motivated to exercise. I try to walk about 2.5 miles per day (to and from work), but I'd really like to get back into doing cardio and weight lifting. I had a baby about ten months ago and I'm blaming that for my laziness. =) Not really, I just need a little support and motivation....thanks in advance.

    Congrats on your new bundle of Joy

    I was not very motivated with the gym..when I first started but as a mom I started to look forward to it at least an hour to myself! and with toodler I really need it that hour! then as I saw the lbs drop and I slept better I looked forward to it. are you able to join the gym? I enjoy gyms better than outside because it could rain and mess up my plans. Good luck and keep it up!

    I started atkins in late november but every other week just sort of fell off the wagon and was not working out..late december I started to really follow it and added the gym from november to december I only lost like 7 lbs not following it right..from december to march 18 I lost 50 lbs give or take depending what mood my scale is on lol.

      I think I'm gonna have to. It's the only way I feel like I'm doing the right thing...Hopefully I'll feel better next week! Thanks for the response!

            I love my wii fit. It makes working out fun.

              how about getting a couple of cardio workout dvds and soon as baby sleeps in day make it your new routine to do 30 mins to and hour ,dont do anything else put dvd straight on and just do it even if there is other stuff to do ,it will son become part of your routine and as soon as you start to do a bit youll want to do more that might motivate you
