    Re: Atkins foods

I am not a vegetarian. What are you criteria for suitable?
    Are you avoiding animal products?
Looking for healthy complete source of protein?
    Trying to lose weight?
Trying to eat whole foods that are unprocessed and good for you?

I think ovo-lacto can eat them, but if you are on induction you should avoid them.

        Re: Atkins foods

Thanks for the replies. I thought certain Atkins products were ok for induction? the website (UK) seems to indicate that some of the bars etc are ok for the first phase.

In answer to your question, yes I'm looking for protein sources but just avoiding all animal products.

We go by Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) 2002, not the Atkins being promoted on the site these days....

            Re: Atkins foods

You need to look at the ingredients of any food to make sure it is fine for your chosen way of eating (vegetarian etc) and phase of Atkins rather than relying on what a marketing label says

If everything listed as an ingredient is 'legal' for you then the food is 'legal'.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
