  • So is this good or no?

    Hello

    I finally moved into Owl1 from my extended induction but that was yesterday..my question is I am losing about 6 - 8 lbs a week...you know I am excited but I am wondering if it is healthy? all I do is work out (a lot lol) and eat my induction friendly meals..nothing else. Is losing this much in one week unhealthy at all?

    How many net carbs are you eating?

    How many calories?

    Dr. Atkins wrote that losing less than one pound per day is healthy... losing more can get you into trouble.

      Well I keep my net carbs to my extended induction count 20 sometimes I may go over by 2 which is why I moved to owl1 cause seriously I felt like I was cheating lol.

      did not counted calories but I don't eat anything fat free, I still eat my cheese, veggies, water, meats etc etc gotta go back to counting calories I guess.

      Well usually 6 lbs a week is my regular count but last week it was 7 and this week it was 8..you think I may not be eating enought calories? I guess I gotta start writing it down.

          Did you try FitDay? You simply enter your foods and it gives you carbs, calories, etc.

              I did used fitday for that but I stop writing it down so I gotta go back to doing that right now I only keep fitday to enter my weight, my mini goals and my body measurements.

              Georgiana do you have your story somewhere around here?

                33! I remember those years fondly!!!

                Reason I asked, is sometimes the younger you are, the quicker you lose weight. Maybe this is what is happening, plus with your exercise routine.

                      I was just worrying that losing too quickly will not let my body bounce back quick enough to work the excess skin you know that is why I work out but if i lose it too quickly not sure...I don't really want a lot of loose skin I have that big pouch..as you can see in ny photo I had two different donuts the top one is almost all gone and the bottom one is slimming down but still pretty big lol

                        The skin is more of a genetic thing than anything. Some can lose a ton of weight quickly and look like they were never over weight. Others can lose a moderate amount and do it slowly and have saggy skin everywhere.

                          How long have you been losing 6-8 pounds per week? That is AMAZING!!!
                          I have heard for the skin thing that it will bounce back as much as it is going to about a year after you reach goal...so I'm trying to be patient with the loose skin thing (although it has gotten much harder since the skin started sagging under my chin! - can't hide that with clothes!!!). I'm not sure if losing it faster will really affect the end result - I suspect that our skin will shrink as much as it is able to, no matter how fast or slow we lose, but I'm certainly no expert.

                          EDIT: I also want to add that the younger you are, the more elastic your skin...you are still fairly young, so it should bounce back better than if you were older.

                              I have been doing that for a while now, as I go down everywhere else there is no loose skin but the biggest one is my biggest one which is the pregnancy pouch..you look great! I don't know about the skin in the face there is no exercise maybe you can visit a plastic surgeon to see if they can tell you what you can do for the skin down there? I don't think you need lift so maybe they can give you some suggestions.
