Bacon would be fine. Actually bacon is super good stuff.
It is often cured with sugar or other sweet product so read the ingredient label carefully

Looks like you are doing well. Are you losing fine?

        Re: Hello
Hehehe, thanks for pointing out the Mighty Contradiction In advance. Thank You.

        Brother,

what we mean by avoiding nuts is not to have any Peanuts Or Any Walnuts or any other nuts except, The Almonds we were talking about are the REAL WHOLE ALMONDS AND NOT THE FLAKES, you are allowed about 12 normal sized almonds, please do dip them in water 24hrs prior to eating them. yes try to have black tea and clear your mind of any stressful thoughts, did you watch the youtube clips? very Helping dude.

do you have the Atkins diet book? the 1999 version you have to have. have cucumbers and lettuce for snacks, also get some smoked salmon or nandos chicken wings without the breading. you can also have tuna and check the recipe section out too. try to get mince lamb/sheep meat and mix it with some coriander leaves and fry it with onions with some slight vegetables oil, you have to have your veggies such as cucumber or cauliflower etc please check the acceptable foods list. drink your water, but KEEP OF FOCUS OF THE GOAL YOU ARE TRYING TO ACHIEVE AND REMEMBER WHY YOU ARE DOING IT!!!!!

He may be excellent but he did not read the 2002 Atkins book before he gave that advice.

You can have nuts once you go on extended induction if you keep portions down.

You should move to OWL, imho.

I suspect that almonds may have been a favorite of the guy who was giving "advice".

He wrote, "the 1999 version you have to have." The book used at ADBB is the 2002 version.

He wrote, "please check the acceptable foods list." And you won't find almonds on it.

Unroasted unsalted almonds in their skins are my preference as I find I have no portion control problems with them. Salted roasted nuts of any kind I tend to eat until the tin is empty!!
I always keep an ounce pack of them in my pocket or the car for 'emergencies'.
                so should i avoid them
If you were starting induction (your 'Atkins phase' still states 14-day induction btw) yes, avoid them. If you have decided you want to continue for a long induction then you could include them as an occasional snack, as long as they give you no problems.

How far along your weightloss journey are you? Are you looking at the 4 questions in DANDR to help you decide when to move to OWL (the main weightloss phase of Atkins) ?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
