  • A year later

I haven't been on this board in quite some time but I figured it was time to hold myself accountable again! I have been on Atkins since November 10, 2008. I lost a total of 50 pounds and have kept it off. I do fluctuate 2 pounds up or down but normally no more than that. The problem is that I am stuck at this weight. The first year I did this diet I did not cheat-- or if I did it was VERY LITTLE. I found that once I hit the one year mark.. I started cheating a lot more often. I think that once I realized I could cheat and then within 2 days be back at my normal weight... I started making excuses to do it more. I really want to lost another 10 pounds and I'm not sure where to start. Do I go back to induction for 2 weeks? Do I have to stop eating fruit again? Anyone have any experience with this before? Any help would be appreciated. I know I have to get ahold of myself and stop cheating. If I really want to lose I need to exercise more and get it together. Thanks!

You could always do a week or two on induction to kill the cravings then add back in fruit if it's important to you. Or go back to maintanence completely as long as you stick to plan it will come off. No need to work the rungs again IMO

I would start clean again with the induction and go up the rungs again, IMO

If you are at OWL Rung 7 now, you don't need to go back to Induction. You simply stop cheating and continue from where you are. It's the cheating that's your problem... and the reasons for a cheat are often in your mind and have nothing to do with the rung you're on, if you have been at this level before the cheating started.
