Re: Is it possible Atkins doesnt work for some???
I have found that when Atkins doesn't "work" for most people, it's because they aren't doing it right, or have the wrong expectations on how it's supposed to work.
I've yet to find someone who did it 100% correct and it didn't work. I'm sure there's a few out there. Not every diet works for everyone. I think the biggest reason is likely that folks have trouble sticking to it for the long haul, not necessarily because it doesn't functionally work. Also, some people, due to other reasons such as health or dietary restrictions, it might not work for.
I also thought I was doing Atkins right many times and have learned I wasn't. I'm thinking I'm doing much better this time, but still learn something new here and there.
Three weeks is a very limited time frame to give a new Way of Eating a try. Weight loss will not always happen every single week no matter which "diet" you try. That's just the way the body is.
Some folks here, myself included, have gone a month or more without losing a pound. Sometimes we also lose inches (measurable and not) instead of weight. Sometimes the body just needs a while to adjust.
We all want the weight to come off faster than it came on and it's just not doing to happen.
