Hi to all my friends here at ADBB. I know I havent been on in alittle while. Just been having alot of hard times personally and havent touched the computer. Also fell off of Induction. But the good news is I have still been very careful watching carbs pretty much every day and have maintained the 3lb weight loss I had in my one week on induction. I still want to lose weight and get energy back, and I have talked with my Dr about Atkins, since I love this diet and the whole concept. He suggested a couple things since I do have some inconsistencies with weight and blood sugar. He said that instead of doing the very strict Induction, it may be good for me to just do a different part of the diet that isn't quite as restrictive so that I can get into a set way of eating permanently. He said that realistically I am not too far off from a healthy weight so it is better to lose the weight I want in a slow and steady way. He said to stick to meats, veggies, legumes and nuts/seeds, fruit, some dairy, and to only incorporate whole grains and complex carbs more sparingly. He said that this along with exercise and drinking water (I'm guilty, I down tons of coffee and sugar-free cola but little water.) I should see steady and lasting results....
Any thoughts on this?? What phase of Atkins would you consider this closest to?
As a refresher I am 30y/o 5'1" and currently 135lbs.... I've missed you guys and any advice is always welcome since you are so helpful!
