I am planning on working out in the mornings because it fits my schedule best. I was wondering, should I eat a regular breakfast after working out or should I drink a protein drink?

Re: What to eat after morning workouts?
I don't believe protein drinks are ok for induction, so I'd go with eggs and bacon, or some other induction-friendly food.

Re: What to eat after morning workouts?
I eat breakfast. Real food, imo, is more healthful for your body than some chemistry lab concoction. Besides if you do the eggs-bacon route, you ARE getting protein plus fat and carbs. And if you do a veggie omelette for breakfast, you get the phytonutrients in the veggies.

Re: What to eat after morning workouts?
Omelet!!!!!
If you are pressed for time, use Egg beaters, and get some pre-grated cheese. Pour three whipped eggs, or eggbeaters, in the pan, add some chopped peppers/onions. I use fresh pico de gallo (no tomatoes, vinegar or frankenfoods) Let it cook til it's about half-set, then put a handful of cheese in there and let it finish. Fast, filling, and about 4 carbs.
Some of the whey-protein shakes are made without sugar, but they have sweetener. The Atkins shakes, I can't personally drink every day, or I will stall. The soy in it wreaks havoc with my thyroid. As convenient as they are,I can have one about twice a week
Soy is a problem for a lot of people. It's an endocrine disrupter, so it messes with the hormones.
