    Re: random thoughts....

    Thanks all.

Random thought -- Are we genetically or environmentally programmed to love sweet foods? Why can't we have the same desire to eat vegetables as we do things like chocolate. Then we'd have phrases like...

    I'm a veggieholic.
    I have a huge veggie-tooth
ummmm and a song called "Vegetable home Alabama"...OK maybe not that last one.

      Re: random thoughts....

I think it's genetic... my husband could care LESS about sugar... candy... cake.. pie.... he barely even eats any of his own birthday cake... he rarely wants an ice cream cone (I can eat the 1/2 gallon carton).....

we've been together for 26 years... and i could eat my weight in cake, pie, ice cream, candy, etc... he doesn't even like it much... he has a couple of soft drinks a day... but he's a construction guy... so as sugar rich as that is... it's really baby stuff for him...

I'm thinking there's a screw loose in me somewhere that makes me want sugar so much.. for as long as I can remember... when I was younger than 5 (and I remember it clearly.. because we still lived with my Granny)... I can remember vividly my Easter baskets.. and the candy in them... and how I dreaded when it would be gone....

Grant, you could be on to something & Peyton maybe we're the norm & hubby isn't!
In nature, sugar is harder to come by. Kind of set us up to think of it as a treat!

But then I try it on & even if it's tight, each time I try it on it's looser & looser, until it's time to go down ANOTHER SIZE!!

I had one pair of brand new sz 16 jeans that I used... to judge how I was doing. I was sooo sad because at first I couldn't button them, then I could button, but couldn't zip. Well, I found out that other sz 16 do fit & that 1 pair ran really small. OMG!!! Who knew!!?? Nice surprise, it was!

this is my fear. that even though all my size 14 and 16 clothes are heaps too big, that i will go and try on 12s and they will be way too small.
its like i'm hanging onto my fat pants like its my receiving blanket from my childhood or something.

i feel like knocking on my head and saying "uh HELLO, you have lost 23lbs silly.. of COURSE they will fit". have i gone to the store? nope.

My random thought......why do different manufacturers have a wide range of women sizes? I can fit into almost any size 6....Kohls, Macy, Target, etc.
But today and yesterday I am wearing clothes from The Limited and Express that are size 9/10. UGH I feel fat wearing these sizes. Size does matter

I can drink 4-5 liters of water from the time I get to work at 8am till the time I leave at 5pm. I'm thinking of moving my desk to the men's bathroom.

Don't be silly, you'd never get anything done. Instead just install a bathroom at your desk.

another random thought: I'm sitting here listening to a few developers having a conversation. There have been numerous opportunities for me to interrupt what they are saying with "that's what she said". I'm maintaining self control.

Why am I such a procrastinator? Do I really think I'm better under pressure? UGH!

Why am I so lazy some days?

                            Could I really be ADD?

I'm gaining. My feet, that is. While getting shod, I was informed that the ball half of my feet measure shoe size 9 1/2 and the heel half measures size 8 1/2. Surely this has something to do with my 6 week stall. GRRRR! We are both shooting for 118 lbs so we are sisters in fat if not in sneakers.
