You can't really rely on those sticks, I agree with the PP's. I still use them but now only first thing in the morning.

I don't have a goal weight but when I looked at the BMI for my age and height I know I wanted to be at the very most a 21 on the BMI scale. In the middle,I am there now.

Now I am going by what old clothes that used to fit me. The lowest weight I got to was 135.0 (this morning I was at 137.00). Based on some old clothes I could probably fit into them around 132. I would love to see 129 one day but I doubt that will ever happen.

Pick the weight what makes you feel great, that's all that counts.

My goal really is to be able to jump up and down naked in front of a mirror and not be embarrassed by what is jiggling, but at my age I don't imagine I will get there
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

your no loss and then a drop a few days later is normal human body weight loss.

If you get bored with the foods on extended induction again then you should think about moving to OWL so you could add other foods. that is one of the reasons Dr Atkins lists for ending extended induction.

You don't have to race up the rungs and could go very slowly adding back a rung.

              Re: OK, Here it is:

Seems like my wife and I both go two to four days with not weight loss and then all of a sudden loose 2 or 3 lbs in 1 day. Why is that?
Lots of times your body will convert fat to water and retain it for awhile before releasing it. We used to call that a "whooshie".

Also, is it important to take measurements and track them?
Measurements are important. If you are exercising as you should, there may come a time when you are adding muscle while losing fat. The scale may not move since muscle is heavier than fat, but you will know this is happening because you are getting smaller.

                Re: OK, Here it is:

Still trying to figure all this posting out but I do appreciate all the great info and instruction from all of you. Lost another 5 lbs. last week. I'm loosing weight faster than my wife but I tend to be a little OCD like when I make up my mind to do something and I have a lot more to loose than she does. I am thinking about moving on to OWL. Need to study it and decide. Not trying to make it harder than it is but I like to plan ahead. The more I loose, the better I feel so don't be surprised if I adjust my goal weight down slightly. I carry all my weight from the waist up. My legs and but are skinny. My daughter tells me that "nothing looks as good as skinny feels". She also say's that she wishes she were the kind of person that her dog thinks she is. Bye for now.

Alan tell your wife women lose slower than men. I believe the hormones don't help that. Keep her encouraged. The slower it comes off the longer it stays off.

You've done very well. Keep it up!
